此件拍品由器身和器盖两部分组成，器身出宽口折沿，并有拦水线，作四瓣海棠形，器腹微鼓，内套铜胎，圈足外撇，器盖为高圆盖，上接宝珠钮，菊瓣形石钮座。嵌银丝工艺装饰器盖和口沿，器腹浮雕蘷龙纹、菊瓣纹装饰。整件渣斗为紫檀挖成，工稳材优，内装铜胎，明清时期常有将木器内套金属内胆的工艺，木质内敛，金属华光熠熠，形成鲜明的视觉对比。此件渣斗的特殊之处在于，其宽口沿之下部分本属于视线盲区，但仍作雕饰，可见其精致程度。
