A hollow-formed bronze finial, square in plan with flange rim and iron attachment pin; the upper face with high-relief bust of a satyr (Pan?) with incised lentoid eyes, tousled hair, goats' ears and four short horns. 352 grams, 83mm (3 1/4"). From a private UK collection, acquired in 2010; formerly in a private Rosenheim, Germany collection, since the 1960s.
