A rectangular basalt tablet inscribed with two lines of Brahmi(?) characters to the obverse reading thite sobhu (of the auspicious lunar day) and four iterations of the numeral '15', single large character tha (or thu, the) to the reverse. 81 grams, 49mm (2"). Ex central London gallery; formerly acquired on the Jersey art market in 1999; ex Simon Digby (1932-2010) collection; accompanied by a copy of a typed and unsigned scholarly note. [No Reserve]
