6th-2nd century BC. A bronze mount of a profile beast, possibly a Cambodian tapir(?) with arched back and short, bent legs, long muzzle, ridge of bristles to the back; mounted on a custom-made stand. 74 grams total, 76mm (3"). Acquired from F.E. Nejad, Zurich, Switzerland, 6th November 1988.
