A pair of George III stained oak armchairs in Gothic taste, circa 1800, each with triangular back pierced with tracery above the open arms and seat, on square section legs joined by stretchers, 112cm high Condition Report: Both with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, wear and rubbing to the stained surface, this has almost all rubbed away to the arms The frames overall solid and stable, there are some later elements to the undersides including rails Some old splits and cracks, some chips, losses and repairs to some areas of the tracery There are signs of old woodworm The seat upholstery with wear and marks all over, it has a distressed appearance but does not have any major rips or tears - some small 'knicks' only, Condition Report Disclaimer
