A carved burr wood, probably elm, vessel or bowl, probably 19th century, the interior smoothed, the exterior rustic, with short protrudence to one side, 14cm high, 53cm long, 45cm wide Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, the exterior with layers of old dirt and former polish/varnish, the underside and interior lighter in colour There is a hole to the side opposite the protrudence, this may be for a thong of a handle or is perhaps a natural fault through a knot/burl - Dreweatts makes no guarantees.
