A Tuareg reed carpet, Mauritania, 20th century, approximately 484 x 237cm Condition Report: Some wear overall. Some small losses to reeds. Fraying and loose threads to binding at each end. Some wear to leather strips to longest edges. Some of the thread securing is lacking and a section (approx. 30cm) has become detached. In areas adjacent to the yellow thread the dye has leached out.
