Simpson (1857-1922), an Arts and Crafts carved oak hanging cupboard c.1908, signed on one drawer A W Simpson, other drawer incised No.1697 Carved with a decorative frieze of pine needles and cones below the cornice, over two open shelves, with another open shelf below left with two short drawers and a cupboard to the right, the door heavily carved with scrolling foliage, with short apron beneath with shaped sides, with brass pulls and hooks 62.7 cm high; 74.5 cm wide; 20.8 cm deep There are losses to the front left corner of the cornice and a smaller loss to the back left corner. Loss to the back right corner. Further small chips and indentations along the various vertical and horizontal edges. There is an inky water mark on the bottom shelf left and multiple red and blue ink stains in the cupboard. Splits to the back board, one full length and one half length.
