Southeast Asia, 1st millennium AD. The coins were excavated in Myanmar, in what was formerly the territory of Champa, each of circular shape and with fine repoussé showing Vedic symbols, Sanskrit characters, bulls, conches, and two with the rising sun motif commonly found in Pyu coins. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of age and wear, little verdigris to some coins. Weight: 141.1 g Dimensions: Diameter 3.8 cm (the largest) and 2.1 cm (the smallest)
