A late George III silver shaped square vegetable dish, divider and cover by Richard Sibley I, London 1817, with a leafy bud finial to the domed cover, the base with a gadrooned rim and a detachable turned wood handle, the four-section divider with a leafy finial sitting in slots, engraved with two crests, a shield and a motto 'Libertas Sub Rege Pio', 49cm (19in) long, 2604g (83.7 oz) without handle The crest, arms and motto for PACKE, Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire. Condition Report: The pan is double skinned for hot water. Maker's mark partially obscured on the body, all other marks clear and readable on each separate piece. Slight gap to the bottom of the divider when in place in the pan. Engraving is crisp. Evidence of repair at the junction of the handle and body, and a small hole in the silver part of the handle. The wooden handle screws in well. Cover sits well. Slight scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use, no bruises or dents. Condition Report Disclaimer
