A late 19th century historical revival emerald and pearl brooch, circa 1890, the pierced oval panel set with step cut emeralds with canted corners in closed foiled back settings, with a central cluster of similarly cut emeralds with pearl accents towards the cardinal points, to a swivelling brooch fitting to the reverse and a fold away suspension loop, 4cm wide, 12g gross Please note the pearls are untested and unwarranted as natural pearl. Condition Report: The brooch fitting to the reverse swivels, but doesn't become detached. It has a fold out pendant loop, but missing the bale. There is evidence of glue around the trefoils of pearls, and the pearls to the centre, and so some pearls may be replaced. The and foiling's behind are bright. Some discolouration and general wear to the setting commensurate with age and use. Condition Report Disclaimer
