Two similar pearlware models of dappled grey horses of St. Anthony's Pottery type, circa 1800, painted in shades of manganese, ochre, blue, green and brown, with chequered saddle clothes and rectangular bases, 18cm and 18.5cm high, 20cm in length See Pat Halfpenny, English Earthenware Figures 1740-1840 (1991), p. 119 for a not too dissimilar example. Condition Report: Both restored. The marginally smaller of the two, restored through both back hocks and hooves. Both ears restored (replaced) The larger, ears restored (replaced), cracks and rivetted repairs through base and cracks with old discoloured restoration to all feet and legs.
