Y A George III satinwood and rosewood crossbanded tripod table, circa 1790, in the manner of Thomas Sheraton, the rectangular top above the turned tapering baluster stem, on three downswept tapering rectangular legs, terminating in squat spade feet, 71cm high, the top 37 x 36cm Condition Report: Minor marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. Polished surface. Good presentable and useable condition overall. Minor old repairs only visible to the banding of the top in very few areas and a small dowel/ peg joint added to the upper joint of one leg that has been very neatly executed. Whilst the base and top appear original to eachother, the moulding connecting the two has had some adaption. The top of the stem unscrews as is nice to see however the aperture into which it screws may possibly be a later but old replacement (see images) High quality cuts of satinwood, particularly to the top which is particularly attractive. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Condition Report Disclaimer
