A Regency folding circular topped spider leg table, circa 1815, the hinged circular top above the turned supports and revolving gate leg action, on tapering rectangular outswept legs, 74cm high (when open), the top 45cm diameter Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions, old chips and splits commensurate with age and use. The table is of useable structure. Old repairs and re-gluing to the lowest static stretcher of the base with a tiny screw at each end of it (at one end to secure a straight split) and small section of loss adjacent to the joint at the opposite end. The repaired stretcher is possibly a well matched old replacement. This is only detectable on close inspection. An unusual/ rare model of its type. The central part of the uprights revolves to support the top when the top is brought down for use. Two of the mahogany plugs to the stretcher fixed to the underside of the top (original) are lacking Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Condition Report Disclaimer
