A Regency oak and pollard oak centre table, circa 1815, after a design by Thomas Hope, the hinged circular top with gadrooned edge, above the turned and tapering tri-form base, decorated with scrolling foliage, on lion paw feet, 73cm high, the top 76cm diameter The form of this table is closely related to examples of the period by Thomas Hope, an example of which is currently held at the V&M museum in London (W.13-1936).
