A George IV mahogany table top book rest, circa 1825, in the manner of Gillows, the rectangular angle adjustable top with rounded corners and a rest to the bottom edge, on turned bun feet, the top 43.5 x 30.5cm Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some additional scratches to the top. Slight 'shadow' where the rest has been folded flat to the top. Small section of veneer re-stuck to front edge of base.
