A Regency mahogany library table, circa 1820, the rectangular top with tooled leather inset surface, above two bead moulded frieze drawers, the twin turned supports joined by a turned stretcher, on roundel and lappet moulded tapering outswept rectangular legs, terminating in reeded feet and castors, 74cm high, 92cm wide, 62cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. One drawer with plaque for 'G. E. LAWSON, DEALER IN ANTIQUES, TONBRIDGE'. Some small losses and some section of veneer re-stuck. The expected wear, abrasions and fading to inset leather surface. No key present, both drawers open. Slight movement between the uprights and the top. Some evidence of old worm. Some old small filled holes to panels at each end of table (see images). One of the turned mounds to underside corners of the top is a later replacement to match.
