Y A George V silver fitted mahogany dressing table, circa 1925, after a design by George Betjemann & Sons, with plaque for 'JOHN BAGSHAW & SONS, (LIVERPOOL) LIMITED', the panelled rectangular top opening to a velvet lined swing-out interior enclosing various silver fitted cut glass vessels, ivory brushes and utensils, several bearing the monogrammed initials 'B.N.T' for Bothwick Norton Thistlewaite, the silver hallmarks for 1912, the interior of the top with panel doors opening to a mirror, flanked by detachable light fittings, the arched front with a small drawer to each side, on square tapering legs, terminating in brass caps and castors, 96cm high, 89cm wide, 57cm deep Provenance: Private Collection from a Grade II listed Country House, Oxfordshire Purchased by the current vendor from Fluss & Charlesworth Limited, London, 31st May 1990 (£23,000).
