香炉玛瑙大料整挖，由盖、体两部分组成。盖半圆形，平整致洁，其上一瑞兽，四足跨立，翘首微侧，张口雄吟，伴以丰尾上卷，神气傲然。体直口，平肩，鼓腹下收，无纹。三蹄足折曲，立姿优雅。左右肩各出圆雕兽首，二兽怒发冲，眼目开，锁眉隆鼻，威严样貌，系由口出，套以活环，一气呵成，巧致奥妙。整观，此炉玛瑙质地温润，如脂若冰，自然愠色，清润莹亮；洁白似絮，棉棉互渗。其料上佳，整体除钮、耳及足部花饰，余部均光素，不见雕痕，掏膛规整，抛光极好，浑若天成，工艺精湛又古意温存，实为陈设赏玩之佳器。附原配器座。
