Attributed to Dr. Christopher Dresser (1834-1904), a Hukin & Heath electroplated hot water kettle Late 19th Century, stamped H&H marks, 1 and F Of oval section with hinged cover and overhead handle, both handles cane-bound 16 cm high, 20 cm long Literature: Vidar Halen, 'Christopher Dresser', Phaidon 1990, p.180, pl 203 (similar form listed as Hukin & Heath and Attributed to Christopher Dressed and dated 1895, 8.1/2 inches tall) Provenance: Purchased from S & J Stodel, London, 12th June 2009 Some old marks, scratches and abrasions, but overall in good order and inside quite clean. Wicker handles with some flakes to surface and losses to the top shiny layer in places, with some slipping on the side handle. Base with natural wear.
