A Flemish classical tapestry, second half 16th or early 17th century, probably Oudenaarde, depicting an elaborate figural scene with a general in Roman attire and soldiers, one shield emblazoned with an armorial of crescent moons and a star, before a verdant landscape with animals and further hunting figures, later backed, approximately, 192 x 274cm overall An example of similar composition was sold at Christie's London, noble and private collections, 27 April 2016, lot 459 (£10,000), and another panel also described as Oudenaarde and with comparable central figure recently appeared at Sotheby's, 2 February 2021, lot 34 (£12,600).
