A George I walnut and feather banded kneehole desk, circa 1720, 77cm high, 79cm wide, 50cm deep For a closely related example of desk see, Sotheby's, London, Collections & Collectors, 28th April 2016, Lot 134 (£8,750). Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratched and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits and chips. Some veneers lifting slightly. Two small sections of replacement veneer to top. Handles and escutcheons appear to be of the period but are old replacements. Locks appear original. No key present, all are open. Some filler applied to surface in places.
