An Italian carved wood and polychrome painted rectangular wall mirror, 18th century, 85cm high, 87cm wide Provenance: Private Collection, The Manor House, Stanford in the Vale, Oxfordshire Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. Plate is a later replacement. The frame appears to have been reduced in size at some point and was possibly a picture frame originally. Some later screws to back Some evidence of old worm to frame. Painted surface appears original and bears the expected rubbing, chips and some losses. To one corner of the frame there are some small sections of replacement moulding. Corner joints with slight opening. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
