A George II mahogany cabinet, circa 1750, with brass side carrying handles, both the upper and lower cupboard doors opening to a shelved interior, 171cm high, 102cm wide, 34cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Key present and operates both locks. The lock to the upper doors is 'sticky' and may require some attention. Hinges to the lower doors have been replaced, all other metalware appears original. Two later screws to lock plate of lower doors to help secure. Shelves to the interior of the upper section have moved position. Strips of inset replacement timber have been used to fill the holes where they previously sat. Very good original surface, deep rich colour and patina. Section of moulding to one side detached but present. Two later chamfered batons of timber applied to back boards of upper section. some sections of replacement timber to lower side edges of the upper section.
