A George II mahogany urn stand, circa 1750, with slide to one edge of octagonal top, 65cm high, the top 29 x 29cm Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips and splits. The block to the underside of the top/top of stem is later. the screws to this block appear to have been applied through previously plugged holes. Four plugged holes are visible to the underside of the top from where the previous block sat. Four smaller plugged holes are visible to the top. Old shellac finish to stem and legs. Two small old pin holes to one side of the top. These have been filled with dark wax to help disguise. Some old glued repairs to moulding at the edge of the top.
