A Regency mahogany and line inlaid universal library table, circa 1815, in the manner of Gillows, after Thomas Sheraton's design for 'Universal Table', the rectangular top with extending draw leaf ends, above a fitted frieze drawer, incorporating a ratchet adjustable leather inset slide above alphabetically lettered compartments, 76cm high, 106.5cm wide, 91cm long (172.5cm long when fully extended) For a closely related example of table see, Christie's, New York, 500 Years: Decorative Arts Europe, 19th October 2011, Lot 426 ($6,875).
