A William IV mahogany double sided waterfall open bookcase, by Williams & Gibton, circa 1835, the upper part of one side panel stamped '18107', 117cm high, 81cm wide, 63cm deep Condition Report: Mark, scratches and abrasions, old chips and splits comensurate with age and use. Natural fading overall. The colour can be made darker/ richer with sympathetic use of appropriate wax product/ restoration. The presence of the distinctive numbered stamped confirms the bookcase has been made by one of the foremost Irish makers of the 19th century, Williams & Gibton. The legs/ feet and casters are original. The handles appear original. An attractive an useful bookcase of pleasing proportions. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
