A LARGE RUSSIAN "MAIDEN" PORCELAIN EASTER EGG, PAINTED BY M. DELAKI, IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY, ST. PETERSBURG, LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY centered with a young maiden holding a sheath of wheat over her shoulder, signed M. Delaki in Cyrillic lower right, the verso with a group of poppies, against a shaded blue ground, with a braided ribbon; length without ribbon: 11 cm (4 3/8 in.) PROVENANCE Collection of Mr. & Mrs. John H. Gutfreund, New York Their sale, Christie's, New York, January 14-28, 2021, part of lot 74 Acquired at the above by the present owner CONDITION The egg appears in very good original condition with no significant issues to report.
