此执壶造型俊雅灵动，平口，上压覆钟形盖，盖钮作宝珠形，束颈，溜肩，悬胆式腹，底承外撇高圈足。颈腹间设耳形把，铸雕龙首为饰，与之相对另一侧的下腹部出三弯流，始端作兽吞把样式，龙首大口怒张，口吐壶流，设计别具匠心，颈部与流间设方胜形云板相连。通体以天蓝色珐琅釉为地，掐丝填诸色材料，饰以缠枝宝相花卉纹。 执壶是唐代开始流行的饮酒器，式样极为优美，装酒、注酒也很方便，又称“注子”在宋代李济翁的《资暇录》中有载：“元和初，酌酒犹用樽杓，所以丞相高公有斟酌之誉。虽数十人，一樽一杓，挹酒而散，了无遗滴。居无何，稍用注子，其形若罃，而盖、嘴、柄皆具。太和九年后，中贵人恶其名同郑注，乃去柄安系，若茗瓶而小异，名之曰偏提。论者亦利其便，且言柄有碍而屡倾仄。今见行用。”
