AN ISLAMIC STYLE CLEAR GLASS AND ENAMELLED BOTTLE VASE POSSIBLY BROCARD, PARIS, CIRCA 1885, UNSIGNED 37.5cm high See Lot 119, Sotheby's, 9th September 2020 for a pair similar at £5,000-8,000, sold for £8,190. Brocard, Philippe-Joseph (French, 1831-1896), specialised in copies of early Islamic and Near Eastern glass and was one of the leading French exponents of the genre, interested, like many artists of the day in 'Orientalism'.
