Porcelain 'Bajixiang' tripod censer Chinese, 18th/19th Century decorated with famille rose enamels on a puce ground with Daoist symbols amidst lotus flowers and trailing foliage, rim with a six character Qianlong mark in Zhuanshu script with finely carved wood stand and cover, the latter with a pierced and carved jade finial of lotus flowers and foliage, 46.5cm. Provenance: Acquired by the vendor's grandfather in the 1950s. Condition: Overall minimal wear and marks as expected. Some scratches and minute losses to the carved jade finial. Small area of the open fretwork lid damaged and repaired. Some firing faults and glaze discolouration to the inside rim. Some scratches and signs of wear to the inside of the censer, consistent with age and use.
