A black-lacquer large three-case inro By Genrin, 18th century The wide body with a black lacquer ground embellished with scattered gold lacquer and shell dust, lacquered with a continuous design of a large ho-o bird among swirling clouds, in gold takamaki-e with highlights of kirikane, e-nashiji and shell, the interior of matt gold lacquer, signed Genrin saku with a kao; with a marbled glass ojime. 10.1cm (4in) high.
