A gold-lacquer three-case inro By Koami Choko (Nagataka) after a design by Hogen Terunobu, early 19th century The kinji ground lacquered and inlaid with several dragonflies in gold and red takamaki-e, partly inlaid with shell, the interior of matt gold lacquer, signed Koami Choko (Nagataka), Hogen Terunobu kore o egaku; with a carnelian ojime; and a gold lacquer hako netsuke decorated with a fruiting kaki (persimmon) branch, one fruit inlaid with coral, signed Koami Inaba Choko with a kao. 6.7cm (2 5/8in) high.
