A lacquered-wood and bamboo inro 19th century The vertical rectangular body with one side sliding open to reveal within five interior drawers, the inlaid bamboo chequered ground decorated in gold and slight-coloured takamaki-e on both sides with a lone crab crawling beside a rock, unsigned; with a bronze metal ojime inlaid with two kiri-mon (chrysanthemum crests), unsigned. 8.2cm (3 3/8in) high.
