A black-lacquer four-case inro By Shigenori, 19th century The vertical rectangular body with a rich roiro ground and lacquered in yamimaki-e (black-on-black) low relief with a dragon among clouds, its eyes of gold lacquer and the flames around its body of red lacquer, the interior of nashiji with kinji edges, signed Shigenori with a seal Shigenori; with a copper ojime cast with a dragon and bamboo in relief, signed Mitsuhiro. 8.5cm (3 3/8in) high.
