墨呈长椭形，通体漱金，饰凤凰于飞纹，姿态生动，韵致超然。墨无款，据上海博物馆藏吴天章康熙间贡墨一提中有此一锭，可推为吴天章所制。此墨烟轻胶细，质地绝佳，造型华美，刻工不让明人前贤，可称神品。吴天章［清初］，生明末崇祯年间，名倬，号闇然室主人，肆名青琅轩、闇然室，安徽休宁人。徽州休宁派的制墨高手，尤其擅长制作集锦墨。参阅：《正色流馨——明清古墨精粹》P72，上海书画出版社，2019年。
