此石呈柱状立峰，顶端不显峰峦，一侧有危岩突出，有下坠之险；下部竪直，如断壑绝壁，峰峦陡峭。正面造型宛转灵秀，背面挺拔峻峭，回环扣合处尽显阴阳、明暗、刚柔、虚实之美。石上的皴皱细密纵横，留有自然的流水形细纹，如古木枯槎的纹理，意境沈郁萧森。青灰色的石体间有白色岩脉和橘黄色的浸然、粘结，色彩变幻丰富，隆起处十分光润平滑，覆以浓郁的包浆，显示处久经摩挲的古雅气韵。山石层次高低起伏，若争若合，偃仰得宜。于丑拙中透出灵动，从险绝处归于平正，苍茫古朴，颇具宋风。
