识文： 敝年侄徐东宾，即系敝同年显生兄之长公也。以逃仆一事而受小人之辱，词在秀邑，想同人亦俱有公愤。敢以公启借重台鼎，祈推先人交谊，慨然赐印，则感如身被矣。特令其晋谒台端，望教诲之。岱老道兄大人。 款识：弟褚廷琯顿首。 说明 信札内容为褚廷琯因其年侄徐东宾之事，而向其友人岱老道兄寻求帮助 。作者简介： 褚廷琯（约1614～？），字砚耕，一字砚民，嘉兴人。崇祯六年（1633）举人，甲申（1644）兵后隐居不出。以草书擅名，间写墨兰竹石，孤冷有幽韵。杨宾曰：“予书与时流较，纵横不如褚砚云”（《皇清书史》）。有《闽史》。
