A Regency gold amethyst, chrysolite and turquoise cannetille brooch/pendant, of open circular form. The hoop claw set with alternate oval mixed cut amethysts and circular Swiss cut chrysolites between pairs of cabochon turquoise and cannetille scrolls, beadwork and milled wire. Tested as approximately 9ct gold. 35 x 35mm, 7.37g Condition report: Bale deficient. Soft solder spots to the open centre. One cannetille bead section remaining at this point. There was probably originally a centrepiece to this jewel. Later brooch fitting and roller catch, with crescent strengthening patches to the reverse. Dirty. Pin a little bent.
