An Anglo-Indian split pearl and ruby coronet brooch, c.1900, with a row of split pearls, grain set to the band. A row of eight cut rubies, grain set above, with split pearls claw set to the top, with pin and 'C' catch. Indian colonial marks, unidentified. Marked 18K. A case by William Pearce, 106 Kings Road, Brighton. 36 x 22mm, 4.40g Condition report: Surface reaching inclusions. Two rubies not round or chipped. Too small to accurately assess. Pin a little bent.
