A pair of sterling silver moonstone earrings, by Antonio Pineda, no. 970, with a circular cabochon moonstone, rub set at the base of an open egg shaped frame. The frame suspended below an oval flat section stud top to screw earrings. Marked for Taxco 970, maker's mark from 1953 to 1970. 38 x 20mm, 15.20g (2) Condition report: Scratches and marks consistent with its age. Tarnished. Minor marks to the moonstones under 10x magnification. Moonstones - not a strong blue but it is there. One slightly more blue than the other - no as strong as the necklace. A good jeweller could convert them to pierced fittings.
