吴湖帆（1894-1968），江苏苏州人。初名翼燕，后更多万，又名倩、倩庵，字遹骏，东庄，别署丑簃，书画署名湖帆。二十世纪中国画坛一位重要的画家，他在中国绘画史上的意义其实已远超出他作为一名山水画家的意义。历任上海中国画院画师，上海美术学校、上海美术专科学校、浙江美术学院国画教师，上海大学美术学院副教授、中国美术家协会上海分会副主席。
