In the composition, a supine figure lays with her arms stretched above her head. Her form is truncated on the left and right sides. The shapes created by the figure's flesh tones against a dark fabric background mimic a layered landscape composition. Nude is accompanied by original letters dated April 10, 2001 and May 31, 2001 from John Dixon confirming provenance back to his father. Mr. Dixon also confirmed that the patched paper, where the signature is located in the lower left corner, is original to the piece.
