|木胎圆盒，作蒸饼式，子母口，矮圈足。通体髹朱漆刻剔纹饰。盖盒上下两面通景以三层花刻剔童子戏弥勒图，图中童子生性活泼，喜动好玩，表现出其朝气蓬勃、活力四射，大肚弥勒佛面容饱满，大耳垂肩喜眉乐眼，笑口盈人一副憨态可掬，袒胸露腹身宽体大，让人心生喜悦，极具感染力，老少欢戏之间无不透着温情，招财童子戏弥勒乃为皆大欢喜之意，寓意喜笑颜开佳好福禄八方自来。剔红製作方法是在器物的胎骨（通常为木胎或金属胎）上层层髹红漆，少则八九十层，多达一二百层，至相当的厚度，待半干时描上画稿，然后再雕刻花纹。此技法成熟于宋元时期，发展于明清两代。
