AN EARLY GEORGE III 'RED WALNUT' CANDLESTAND CIRCA 1760 With octagonal top 47.5cm high, the top 25 x 25cm Condition Report: There are marks, stains, pitting, scratches, knocks, splits, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use. The octagonal top with a groove around the edge. A repaired crack across the top, with two braces screwed to the underside. The turned section to fix the top to the base is cracked and missing some screws and is not totally fixed to the top, some later screws. There is a repaired split to the base of the wrythen column and the central section where the tripods meet, with a later metal brace to the underside.
