A REGENCY MAHOGANY LIBRARY BERGERE ARMCHAIR IN THE MANNER OF GILLOWS, CIRCA 1815 With buttoned leather cushion seat 91cm high, 63cm wide, 70cm deep overall Condition Report: There are marks, scratches, knocks and abrasions consistent with age and plenty of use. The casters smooth and oversized. The smooth leather to the arms is later. The cushion leather is dry, stained, aged and creased with some holes and tears including to the piping. The caning has been replaced. The seat which would originally have been caned is now a later section of wood. Some fading. Some evidence of worm. Repairs to one back leg including a metal brace, and dowelled repairs where the front legs meet the seat rail. Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.
