Li Gonglin (1049~1106), a native of Shuzhou (now Tongcheng, Anhui), was an outstanding painter in the Song Dynasty. At the time of Zibo, he was named Longmian Lay, and he was fifty-seven years old. Jining in the third year of Xining (1070 AD). Li Longmian is Li Gonglin. When he was called Bo, he was born in Shucheng County, Anhui Province. Because there was a Longmian Mountain in the south of Shucheng County, Li Gonglin once lived at the foot of the mountain, so he called himself Longmianjushi or Longmianshanren. He was born in a large family and has many books on ancient art and famous paintings. He is very knowledgeable since childhood, good in ancient times, and knows many strange characters. Since the Xia and Shang Dynasties, Zhong Dingzun Yi has been able to test and subscribe to the world and distinguish the models. He is better than poetry, and has Jin people's style in Xingkai script. He is close friends with Wang Anshi, Su Shi, Mi Fu, and Huang Tingjian. In the third year of Xining (1070), he was a jinshi, and he was appointed official for the province of Zhongshu, and the latter official went to Chao Fenglang. In the third year of Yuan Fu (1100), he was sick and passed away, and he lived in Longmian Mountain in Tongcheng, named Longmian Lay. He has been diligent throughout his life, painting countless people, historical facts, Taoism, scholars, landscapes, pommel horses, beasts, flowers and birds omnipotent and omnipotent. The characters and Taoist scholars are deeply interested in Wu Daozi's intentions, his brushstrokes are like running clouds and flowing water, the shape is correct, and the expression is flying; the landscape is beautiful, and he wins Wang Weizheng; coloring landscapes and chasing Li Sixun's heart; painting horses through Han Qian. Able to gather the strengths of all families, achieve great success, learn from natural methods, boldly innovate, and form a family of oneself, and is respected by future generations as the number one master of all generations.
