Zhao Mengfu (October 20th, 1254-1322 July 30th), was named Ziang, Han nationality, named Songxue Taoist, also known as Crystal Palace Taoist (a Taoist of Water Jinggong), Oubo, middle-aged Zeng Fu, A native of Wuxing (now Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province), he was originally from Lanxi, Wuzhou. He was an official, calligrapher, painter, and poet from the late Southern Song Dynasty to the early Yuan Dynasty. In the twenty-third year of Yuan Dynasty (1286), Zhao Mengfu was recommended by Cheng Jufu, Shi Yushi at Xingtai, and rushed to Beijing to be respected by the four dynasties of Yuan Shizu, Wuzong, Renzong and Yingzong. Successively held the positions of Jixian Zhizhi, Jinan Road General Manager, Confucianism promotion in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, Hanlin Attendant Bachelor, etc. In his later years, he gradually retired, and in the sixth year of Yanyou (1319), he was sick and begged to return. In the second year of Zhizhi (1322), Zhao Mengfu passed away at the age of sixty-nine. He was given the title of "Wen Min", named "Zhao Wenmin" due to the political affairs of Pingzhang and Wei Guogong of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Zhongshu Province. Author of "Songxuezhai Collection" and so on. Zhao Mengfu is erudite and talented, can be good at poetry, good at economics, calligraphy, fine drawing, good at gold and stone, general rules and lv, interpretation and appreciation, especially the highest achievements in calligraphy and painting. In painting, he pioneered a new style of painting in the Yuan Dynasty, known as "The Crown of the Yuan Dynasty"; Zhao Mengfu is also good at seal, official, true, Xing, and cursive script, especially known for his regular script and running script. The style of his book is charming and beautiful, with strict structure and well-rounded brushwork, he created the "Zhao-style" book, which is also called the "Four Masters of Regular Scripts" together with Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan.
