A pair of circa 1900 Royal Crown Derby pedestal urns with covers, each having ornate foot and handles, inverted flute necks and small domed covers, the pale yellow ground each bearing a cartouche depicting exotic birds amongst flowers, the whole profusely decorated with cobalt blue and gilt detail, shape No.1135, one with pattern mark No.5142, bearing red Royal Crown Derby England stamps verso and worn date cyphers, h.21cm Condition report: One cover is stuck down and we are reluctant to force it. Very minor hairline to top of one handle. Modest gilt wear to top of vase with loose cover. Otherwise all gilt excellent and 99.9% complete. Colours good. All glaze good.
