Carved in the form of a miniature cong with two registers of rectangular protrusions to each side, each carved with a C-shaped scroll in relief. Vertically pierced from both sides for suspension. The opaque stone of a rich turquoise tone with greenish-brown patches and rivering. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Dr. Istvan Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe. Condition: Signs of weathering and erosion. Remnants of soiling. Traces of wear, especially around the piercings. Few small nicks.
